Habib Mbye, originally from Gambia, West Africa, emigrated to the United States in 1978 and currently resides in Johns Creek, Georgia, with his wife, two sons, daughter, niece, and nephew.
For over 33 years, Habib has been a dedicated civil servant with the Fulton County Government of Georgia. He managed the county’s technical building code division for more than two decades and has recently transitioned to the Department of Housing and Community Development as a community development project manager.
In addition to his professional achievements, Habib is a passionate community volunteer and organizer in the Atlanta metro area. He is committed to advancing human rights and freedom of expression for all. Habib’s ultimate goal is to leverage his knowledge and experience gained in the United States to contribute to the development of Gambia and Africa.
