Fabian Urrutia

Fabian Urrutia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies from the University of Washington Bothell, where he developed a strong foundation in public health, community engagement, and resource coordination. With a passion for service and a commitment to equity, Fabian has pursued professional roles that align with his values of helping others and strengthening communities.

He began his career as a technician at the Apple Store, where he honed his technical and customer service skills in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment. This role nurtured his ability to communicate effectively, support individuals with diverse needs, and provide solutions that improve people’s daily lives.

Currently, Fabian serves as a Finance Assistant at the Washington West African Center (WAWAC). In this role, he plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate distribution of financial assistance to clients, managing invoicing for grantors, and supporting transparency and accountability in the allocation of resources. His work directly contributes to the organization’s mission to Bridge the gap between West Africans and the wider community, ensuring that those who may have recently immigrated feel like they have a place to fall back on during times of need.

Fabian is driven by a deep belief in the power of accessible resources and community support. He is passionate about expanding WAWAC’s reach and impact, and is committed to helping the organization grow so it can continue to meet the evolving needs of those it serves.
