Pemphero Msangaambe serves as the After School Program Instructor and Community Resource Navigator at the Washington West African Center. In this dual role, she’s dedicated to supporting youth (children) development and empowering immigrant families by connecting them to the resources they need to thrive.

Originally from Malawi, Pemphero brings a wealth of experience from her six years with the Evangelical Association of Malawi, where she worked on education and community outreach initiatives. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from African Bible College and a Master of Arts from Bowling Green State University, where she focused her studies on adult education and immigrant life.

Passionate about community building, Pemphero believes in the power of education, connection, and shared stories. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her dancing, singing, laughing with friends, or planning her next travel adventure. She also loves spending quality time with her family and making new friends along the way!!
